"Trisha needs to be visible in all parts of the district and demonstrate her commitment to rural Colorado,” said Markey, who was from Fort Collins. “Unlike Boebert, she has roots in the district.”
From CBS Colorado - Trisha Calvarese was victorious in the Democratic primary Tuesday night in Colorado's 4th Congressional District. With 94% of the votes counted as of Wednesday morning, she had 43% of the vote.
Calvarese now moves on to face Republican primary winner Lauren Boebert in November, and immigration issues figure to be a key topic in the race.
From Colorado Newsline - Trisha Calvarese won a three-way race to become the Democratic Party’s 2024 nominee in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. The Associated Press called the race at 11:33 p.m. Tuesday.
Calvarese will now face U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert.
