Rural Security is National Security

The people who grow our food, power our grid, and move our freight deserve real respect and real representation in Congress. Where you live should never determine whether you live.

Protect Colorado Farmland

Colorado has lost more farmland than any other state in the country. Agriculture is our second-largest economic driver, and we are letting it slip away.

I’ll stop land-grab schemes, ban foreign ownership, and shut down investor work-arounds like AcreTrader. Farmland should stay in family hands. Producers should be supported, not squeezed out.

Break Up the Meatpacking Monopoly

Four corporations, two of them foreign-owned, control 80 percent of U.S. cattle slaughter. In Colorado, we have just two.

That concentration squeezes producers and raises prices for families.

I’ll fight to break up monopoly control, expand regional processing, and allow interstate sales so producers can compete on fair terms and consumers can pay fair prices.

Fix Market Access and Lower Input Costs

Producers cannot compete when markets are blocked and input costs spiral.

I’ll work to:

  • Restore trade access for agriculture and biofuels blocked by tariffs

  • Support domestic manufacturing to lower fertilizer, equipment, and fuel costs

  • Protect family farms from being forced out by consolidation

Fair markets are essential to food security and rural prosperity.

Invest in Agricultural Innovation

Colorado producers are already innovators. They deserve support, not obstacles.

I’ll invest in precision irrigation, drought resilience, soil health, and climate-smart practices that keep farms profitable, competitive, and resilient for the long haul.

Save Rural Hospitals

Nearly half of rural hospitals in Colorado operate in the red. Many serve older, sicker patients at reimbursement rates that do not cover the cost of care.

When a rural hospital closes, the town collapses around it. I’ll fight to:

  • Fix broken reimbursement systems

  • Cut red tape and reduce administrative burden

  • Modernize aging facilities

  • Strengthen nursing homes and hospice care

  • Recruit and retain rural healthcare workers

Healthcare access is infrastructure. Losing it puts lives at risk.

Connect & Develop Rural Communities

Where you live should never limit access to care, fast internet, transportation, or opportunity.

I’ll work to bring domestic drug manufacturing, medical devices, diagnostics, and supply-chain facilities to rural Colorado, creating good jobs and strengthening national resilience.

Strong rural communities are essential to America’s security and economic future.
